‘Aşk ve Yemek’ is a romantic comedy. An emotional family story is at its core. The film chronicles the lives of four brothers, all Adana kebab makers. A fraudulent act by one brother, Ruşen (Bülent Şakrak), upends the family's stability. The event compels the family to leave its home and plan a new start in Samsun. During their trip, an unexpected stop in the city of Tokat changes their course. There, the family discovers new romances and sweet rivalries.
The script, from writers Makbule Kosif and Derya Kara, explores themes of family connection. It also shows a shared meal's unifying force. The film is a product of careful work. It promises laughter and emotional scenes. Tokat's Mayor, Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu, also makes a guest appearance. The movie, a production from a consortium with SBS Medya, Q Medya, B12 Medya, and Famelog Content, is now in theaters.
The film has a fantastic cast. Uğur Güneş portrays Civan, the strong older brother who works to keep the family unit together. Hande Doğandemir appears as Feride, one of the story's powerful female characters. The celebrated Hatice Aslan plays the family matriarch, the film's emotional center.
The cast also includes Osman Sonant as the quirky brother Derviş, Bülent Şakrak as Ruşen, the troublemaker who sets the story in motion. Müge Uğurlar directed the picture. The actors' energetic portrayal gives the film a rich, comedic, familiar feel. Together, they made ‘Aşk ve Yemek’ a truly stunning cinematic production.
The event brought together individuals from business, the arts, and government. The evening's guest list included many famous figures.
Yaqoob Al Ali, the Executive Director and Private Advisor for His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum's Office, was in attendance. Murathan Doruk Günal, Mapa Group's CEO, also joined the celebration. Ergin Varlıbaş, Varlıbaş Holding's heir, was another distinguished guest.
The creative community was well represented. Actors Mahir Günşiray and Burak Arslan attended the premiere. Cinematographer and director Sami Saydan was also present. Director and production designer Müge Uğurlar celebrated her work with the Dubai audience. The guest list also featured Egyptian media personality Karim Usama, Shocase CEO and founder Nisreen Shocair, Jamil Al Hashimi from Dubai Municipality, and Aysel Kazimova from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
Asil Ersoydan, Someone’s Entertainment Group's Chairman, gave a speech during the night. "It is a pleasure to assemble with such a creative and artistic team. Someone's Entertainment Group's core tenet is to provide a framework for art and artists. We assist every art branch and field with our UAE facilities and resources. The film itself is an excellent work. This production can become a cultural bridge. It presents culinary arts, literature, and romance. Thanks to the 'Aşk ve Yemek' team for this superb evening," he said.
Architecture Alper Alhan designed the house's unique environment. A magnificent work of art. The atmosphere corresponded with the film's warm tone. Members from the People Around Band, Zafer Ozkan and Ahmet Oral Sargin performed throughout the event. They played a combination of downtempo, chillhop, and ethnic-electronic music for the evening's conversations. The entrance had the same rhythm that a red carpet suggests. The House had the exact structure of a cinema, scene by scene, frame by frame. It couldn't have been done better. The event’s success was credited to SEG’s operational and execution team, Samar Bawab, Ebru Sahin, Alp Altıparmak, and Dhanvi Shah.
Audiences can only experience Love and Food on the big screen, a film expected to serve warm love, laughter, and culinary delights. The House team? They have already started preparing for another fantastic event.
